Assessment
The Admissions team will contact you to arrange an assessment for your child(ren) KG1 to Grade 12. Please note that this will be dependent on the availability of places. Pre-K applicants are not formally assessed, we will advise separately. Assessments at Dubai International Academy Al Barsha take place Monday to Friday during school hours by appointment only. Prospective students studying outside of Dubai may undertake the assessment in their current school, this arrangement is subject to conditions (Grades 2 to 10 only).
There is an AED 525 assessment fee (including 5% VAT) which is non-refundable, however if your child is accepted into DIA this fee will be offset against the first semester fees.
Evaluation
Once the assessment has taken place and we have received the student’s previous 2 years’ school reports we will evaluate the application. If your child is accepted into the school you will receive an offer of a place from the Admissions Department, you must respond within 5 days to secure the place. If your child is accepted but there are no places available at that time your child will be placed on our "accepted on hold" waitlist. Should a place become available we will contact you immediately.
